The advent of modern technology introduces virtual consultations, the interaction and consultation approach now have a new virtual twist.

The purpose of a virtual consultation generally offers both patients and surgeon an opportunity to meet one another and discuss areas of concern, surgical options, aesthetic goals, and defining the preferred solution or practice consultation.

FIRST

Completion of online
consultation form

Submit/Provide us with your medical and surgical history on completion of our consultation form.

A vital requirement is to provide sufficient photos revealing the aesthetic area/areas of concern. Preferred images required are most likely from the front, left side and right side. Attach the photos with the consultation form when the email is ready to be submitted.

SECOND

Content assessment & analysation

Dr Erasmus will assess and analyse the content of your consultation document.

On final reviewing, Anthea will correspond with the assessment results. The content of the assessment will reveal whether you qualify as either a surgical or non-surgical candidate, or an alternative procedure to achieve the optimal appearance and aesthetic result.

THIRD

Get ready to commence with your virtual consultation

Your “Virtual Consultation” is now ready to be scheduled. A list of your questions and concerns should be prepared before the virtual consultation. Likewise, we welcome all questions while reviewing costs, recovery and the anticipated length of stay for healing in Cape Town, South Africa.

Personal assessment & consultation

Once an agreement is reached for a personal consultation and assessment, the cosmetic or reconstructive surgical procedure could be scheduled for the next day and/or what is most convenient for you.

Pre-operative consultation review

Fourteen days prior to the date of surgery there will be a revised consultation to confirm the vital aspects such as pre and post-operative terms, conditions and detailed guidelines to pre and post-care medication and aftercare. Extra requirements will be discussed and clarified with you in detail during your pre-operative consultation.

Leave your private, secure &
perfect recovery arrangements to us

Dr Erasmus’s collaboration provides secure, private and exclusive pre and post-surgery recovery suites at a cooperate rate with special arrangements. Anthea will proceed with arrangements on your request. A qualified nurse can be appointed to assist you during your recovery period.

SEVENTH

Post surgery

Post Surgery consultations with Dr Erasmus will occur within a 5 to 14-day timeframe following surgery. Recovery is different for each patient and will be determined individually, however, the majority of patients will return to their primary destination within 14 days.

The “Virtual Consultation” arrangement by Dr.Erasmus is completely based according to the accuracy of the medical history/information and photographs submitted by the patient at the time through this online platform and service.

Furthermore, please be aware that the latter is not a replacement or adequate substitute for a personal in-office assessment, but merely for convenience and commencing with the process.
